San Antonio area’s entire gross domestic product
The International Trade Center is offering a webinar on opportunities in Mexico’s Eagle Ford Shale.
The webinar is 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 21 and the speaker is Thomas Tunstall, research director at the University of Texas at San Antonio’s Institute for Economic Development.
The Eagle Ford had an $87 billion effect across South Texas last year — nearly equal to the San Antonio area’s entire gross domestic product, according to UTSA’s latest report.
Tunstall is also working on an economic report about the potential for shale development across the Rio Grande.
The webinar will include an overview of the Eagle Ford Shale economic impact, opportunities in Mexico for U.S. exporters and a forecast of potential impact in Mexico.
